Hey everyone, it is me, Dave, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I’m gonna show you how to prepare a distinctive dish, akara. It is one of my favorites. For mine, I will make it a little bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Akara is one of the most popular of current trending foods on earth. It is simple, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions every day. Akara is something that I’ve loved my whole life. They are nice and they look wonderful.

To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few components. You can have akara using 3 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Akara:
  1. Take 3 cups beans, scotch bonnet, 1 large onion, salt, ajino
  2. Make ready Moto, teaspoon curry, teaspoon mixed spices
  3. Take 2 red bell peppers, veg oil for frying
Steps to make Akara:
  1. In a bowl pour the beans and soak for 20mins with warm water. You can either use your hand to peel it or pound it in a mortar. Wash with enough water and strain after each step.
  2. Using a heavy duty blender blend the beans together with diced onions, pepper and red bell peppers. Once you've achieved a very smooth paste, transfer into a clean bowl.
  3. Using a wooden spoon stir to combine. Add the salt, ajino moto, mixed spices and curry. Beat with the wooden spoon for about 15mins. Heat oil in a pan and once hot start the frying process. Once the first side is brown flip to fry the other side. Once done drain in a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  4. Serve with your pap or anything of choice.
