Rasam is one of the most popular of current trending meals on earth. It is easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It is appreciated by millions daily. Rasam is something that I have loved my whole life. They are nice and they look fantastic.

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have rasam using 19 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Rasam:
  1. Prepare For grounded masala
  2. Make ready 3-5 garlic cloves
  3. Take 4-5 curry leaves
  4. Get 2 green chillies
  5. Get 4-5 black pepper corns
  6. Prepare 1 tsp cumin seeds
  7. Take For puree
  8. Make ready 2-3 tomatoes
  9. Make ready 3-4 kokum
  10. Take 2 tsp jaggery
  11. Get 1 tsp turmeric powder
  12. Get 1 tsp saunth(dry ginger) powder
  13. Make ready 2 dry red chilli
  14. Take 1 tsp salt
  15. Make ready For seasoning
  16. Make ready 1 tsp oil
  17. Take 1 tsp mustard seeds
  18. Make ready 4-5 curry leaves
  19. Take 1 tsp hing/asafoetida
Steps to make Rasam:
  1. Take ingredients for grounded masala and crush it.
  2. Take kokum boil it. Cool it, extract the juice from kokum add chopped tomato and jaggery.
  3. Heat oil, crackle mustard seed, then add curry leaves, dry red chilli, mix well and cook it. Add the grounded masala and saute it. Add the puree. Mix well. Add water. Allow it to boil. Finally garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice.
  4. I have used kokum instead of tamarind bcos allergic to it.
