The ingredients needed to make Beef ragu:
  1. Prepare 500 g lean minced beef
  2. Prepare 1 onion
  3. Get 2 sticks celery
  4. Take 2 medium carrots
  5. Prepare Garlic (1 or 2 cloves)
  6. Prepare Italian herbs
  7. Make ready 400 ml vegetable stock (or red wine)
  8. Get 200 ml chopped tomatoes
  9. Take 3 tablespoons tomato puree

Instructions to make Beef ragu:
  1. Gather ingredients
  2. Chop the onion, celery & carrot into small chunks.
  3. Add to sauté pan with some oil and fry gently for 10 minutes
  4. Add the mince and fry til brown
  5. Add the garlic, herbs,tomato purée, vegetable stock,pepper and tomatoes. Cover with a lid and simmer for 1 - 1.5 hours
  6. Serve with pasta of your choice and Parmesan
