The ingredients needed to make Wheat Chakli:
Get 2 cups wheat flour
Take 2 tbsp chillies- ginger paste
Take 1 little less cup curd
Prepare 1 tbsp malai (from top of boiled milk)
Get 1 tsp white sesame seeds
Take to taste Salt
Make ready As required Oil for frying
Instructions to make Wheat Chakli:
First in put wheat flour in thin cloth and make bundle of it(as shown). Place it pressure cooker vessel and steam(dry) for 4-5 whistles. As steam escape open the lid, take out this wheat flour bundle. Open the knot. Sieve it with chalni to make lump free flour.
In mixing bowl add this sieve wheat flour,add chillies ginger paste, malai, salt, sesame seeds and mix well. Bind with sour curd to make semi soft dough.
Divide this dough into 2 equal portions. Put one portion in Chakli maker. Close the lid,make round chalkis as shown.
Heat oil in frying pan. Add few prepared chalkis in hot oil. Fry on medium flame till crispy golden brown.
Similarly prepare all from remaining dough. Store in airtight container.
Serve / Relish Delicious Wheat Chakli with tea/ coffee at tea time.
