The ingredients needed to make Khoya Burfi (Barfi):
  1. Get 250 gms Khoya /mawa
  2. Prepare 200 gms sugar
  3. Get 5-6 almonds
  4. Take 1 tsp ghee
Steps to make Khoya Burfi (Barfi):
  1. Heat a saucepan.Add crushed khoya and mix well.It will melt and get cooked.Keep flame in low and cook till the raw smell of khoya goes and slight colour is also changed.Remove from flame and allow it to cool.
  2. Heat another pan and add sugar and very little water.Allow it to boil. When one string consistency comes off the flame and stir the sugar syrup continuously till it cools and becomes white powder.
  3. Once the powder is ready mix it with khoya.Add chopped almonds and mix nicely.
  4. Grease a plate with ghee and put the khoya mixture into it.Allow it to cool nicely and keep it in fridge for 2-3 hours.
  5. Then cut it into pieces and enjoy.
