  1. Place the milk, water, sugar and the vanila in a pot to boil.
  2. Meanwhile, place the oil or oil and butter in another pot, together with the pine nuts and the semolina over low heat and roast lightly so that they don't get darker, for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the hot milk syrup to the semolina constantly stirring (be careful, it spatters) over low heat until it thickens and unsticks from the sides of the pot.
  4. Remove from heat and add the shredded coconut while stirring. Pour the halva in a cake mold and when it cools, remove it and sprinkle with plenty of shredded coconut.
