Shukto is one of the most popular of current trending meals on earth. It is enjoyed by millions daily. It is simple, it is fast, it tastes delicious. Shukto is something that I’ve loved my whole life. They’re fine and they look fantastic.
To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook shukto using 23 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.
The ingredients needed to make Shukto:
Get 2 small uchche/ Bitter Gourd
Take 2 small Baigun /Brinjal
Prepare 1 kancha kola/Raw Banana
Take 2 small aloo/ potato
Make ready 1 ranga aloo / Sweet potato
Get 2 Danta / Drum sticks
Take 1 Mooli/ White Radish
Get 7 sheem / Broad Beans
Take 10 pieces Bori
Take 2 tbsp poppy seeds/posto
Take 1 tbsp mustard seed / sorso
Make ready 1 tbsp ginger paste
Take 1 tsp panch phoron
Prepare 2 tsp Radhuni
Get 1 tsp turmeric powder
Prepare 1 tbsp sugar
Make ready to taste Salt
Make ready 4 tbsp Mustard oil
Get 1 tbsp ghee
Take 1 cup Milk
Prepare 3 cups water
Get 2 nos red chilli
Prepare 2 nos green chilli
Steps to make Shukto:
Soak both mustard seeds and puppy seeds in water for ten minutes then make paste. All vegetables cut in rectangular strips, drumsticks into 2" long strips after peeling the outer skin of each veggies except Brinjal, heat mustard oil in a wok and fry Bitter Gourd and keep aside,
Then fry Bori in medium flame keep aside.
Then fry all the veggie one by one keep it side, temper remaining oil with panch phoron, and Radhuni, red green chilli, add ginger paste and cook for 2 minutes, then add puppy seed and mustard seed paste and cook again for 2 minutes.
Add turmeric powder, salt to taste, sugar again cook for 2 minutes, add all the fried vegetables and bori.
Now add milk, water to the veggie, mix it and bring it to boil then cover the wok with a lid, cook for 10 minutes in low flame,
Check the water level and if required add some more water since Shukto should have sufficient gravy. Add ghee to the curry and boil for 2 minutes and serve hot with rice.
