In North India, it is Sooji or Suji ka Halwa or Rava Halwa (rava is another name for semolina). Suji Halwa (semolina pudding)- A rich Indian dessert made using ghee and semolina, sweetened using sugar.

- In a pan melt the butter and add semolina - Roast until golden brown - Add coconut powder and roast for one minute - Add milk and stir until all milk is absorbed - Add sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved and the butter leaves side - Halwa is ready. Transfer in a serving dish and decorate. - I have decorated with knife and garnished with pistachios. Please use your imagination and garnish with any fruits, fondant dry fruits etc.
