The ingredients needed to make Chole ki Sabzi:
Make ready 1 cup kabuli chana, soaked in water overnight for 12 hours, washed & strained. 1/2 cup chana dal washed, salt to taste

Make ready 2-3 tbsp mustard oil,
Prepare 1 small pc ginger chopped finely,
Make ready As needed Whole garam masala
Prepare 1 Bari Elaichi,
Take 1 small pc of dalchini,
Make ready 4-5 laung,
Get 5-6 kali mirch,
Get 1 tejpatta,
Make ready 1 tsp garlic paste,
Make ready 1/2 tsp ginger paste,
Prepare 1-2 tbsp onion paste,
Make ready 1/2 tsp haldi,
Get 1 tbsp dhania
Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder.
Prepare 2 tbsp fresh tomato purée,
Get to taste salt
Prepare 1/2 tsp garam masala powder,
Steps to make Chole ki Sabzi:
Firstly take a pressure cooker, add chana, salt & chana dal. Add 4 cups water, place the lid, give 8-10 whistles.
Switch off the flame, allow it to depressurise. Keep aside.
Now take a wok, add oil, heat it. Add ginger & whole garam masala, sauté it for a while.
Add ginger garlic paste, also add lil water, sauté it for a while. Now add onion paste, add lil water also, stir fry it for a while.
Lower the flame now, cover it with the lid, cook it until onion turns brown. Add tomato purée & salt, stir fry till oil separates.
Add haldi, dhania & red chilli powder, again add lil water, increase the flame, stir fry it until oil separates.
Add garam masala powder, stir it.
Add chole now, stir it for a while. Add water if required.
Place the lid now give 4-5 whistles.
Switch off the flame, allow it to depressurise.
Take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dhania patta & ginger juliens.
