Take 1 cup Whole Black Urad Dal
Make ready 1/4 cup Oil or Butter

Get 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
Take 3 Tomato (pureed)
Make ready 1 tsp red Chilli powder
Take 1 tbsp Coriander powder
Prepare 1 tsp Cumin powder
Take 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
Get 2 tbsp Kasuri Methi
Make ready 1/4 cup Fresh Cream
Take to taste Salt
Take 4 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped finely
Instructions to make Dal Bukhara:
Pressure cook whole urad dal with skin for 4 to 5 whistle. Take it off the heat and let the steam escape. Open and set aside.
Heat oil in a kadai. Add in cumin and let them sizzle.
Add in onions, chillies and saute for a min, add in ginger garlic paste and saute.
Add tomato puree and cook for 5 mins.
Add salt and spice powders and mix well.
Add in cooked dal.
Add extra water and simmer for 10 to 15 mins on low heat.
Add in kasuri methi and cream and mix well.
Add coriander leaves when done and serve with a dollop of butter.
