Instructions to make Akara (Kosai):
  1. Remove the beans coat.Then soak the beans in water for about 10-15 minutes,wash the beans throughly.
  2. Wash onions,scotch bonnets,cut and add them to the beans.
  3. Grind the beans with your blender,making sure you add a little water as possible.The water should be just enough to move the blades of your blender.
  4. Beat grinded beans by using a scooper,add your salt,Maggi and seasoning.keep beating the beans for a smooth and fluffy batter.
  5. Set some vegetable oil to cooker to heat up.The oil should be at least 3 inches deep.
  6. Scoop the mixture with a tablespoon,and slowly pour it into the hot oil,repeat the process till the frying - pan is full.Fry the underside till it becomes red/brown and flip to fry the top side.
  7. When the akara balls are brown/red all over,remove and place in a sieve lined with paper towels.Serve with Garlic seasoning pepper and warm Pap..Enjoy!
